Full Time Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer (PT/ATC)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Time Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer (PT/ATC) to join our growing sports medicine team in Skagit Valley. This unique hybrid position serves both rehabilitation clinic and on-field athletic training roles, supporting high school and college athletic programs. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise in physical therapy alongside the agility and responsiveness needed for athletic training in competitive sports settings.

This is a great opportunity for a licensed PT who is also BOC-certified, looking for a dynamic and flexible position that blends clinical care and athletic coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Therapy Duties:

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for athletes and active individuals recovering from orthopedic and sports-related injuries.

  • Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and wellness.

  • Collaborate with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare providers to optimize return-to-play outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and clinic regulations.

Athletic Training Duties:

  • Provide injury prevention, emergency care, evaluation, and rehabilitation for athletes during practices, games, and competitions.

  • Coordinate with coaches and school administrators to develop and implement injury prevention programs.

  • Document all injuries, treatments, and communications appropriately in athletic health records.

  • Travel to assigned high school and college events, ensuring proper medical coverage and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.

  • Current Physical Therapy license in the State of Washington (or eligible for licensure).

  • BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) required.

  • Washington State Athletic Trainer license (or eligible).

  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience with adolescent and/or collegiate athletes preferred.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehab settings.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a collaborative environment.

  • Enthusiastic about community engagement and athlete education.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling (includes evenings and weekends for event coverage).

  • Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

  • Travel reimbursement and continuing education support may be available.
